Rose is a self-confessed bibliophile. She can't get enough of reading books from all her favorite authors. But she’s a sucker for beautifully bound books, as well. Those books she thumbs through and puts on the shelf in her library—filed in the “pretty” section. As for how she began her love of writing…well that began with copywriting when she worked for marketing and advertising agencies in Wisconsin.
After moving to Michigan in the early 90s and working for a large corporation, her marketing skills excelled and her writing expanded. She tackled everything from corporate brochures, catalogs, and ads, to public relations pieces. Still, none of it filled the gaping hole of wanting to write more creatively.
Determined to write a novel, she set a goal of having her manuscript finished within a year's time. It was a proud accomplishment…although she did end up torching the hideous thing. The second manuscript is definitely salvageable, but needs to be edited down to a reasonable number of words. Is 220,000 words really overkill? Then she joined The Muse It Up Club, an online writer's group, and had the most fun writing Spirit Husband and A Date To Die For. Finding an agent and/or publisher, would be the next best thing to writing the stories.
Now—on to that next manuscript!
Happy reading (and writing) to
you all!
